Title: Sway bar
Post by: porsche1914 on October 03, 2013, 11:42:39 AM
I have a 1951 Henry J 6cyl. And it'll has a tendency to dive a little in the front end. Is there a stronger or heavier sway bar that will fit a J?
It seems I have heard this discussed before but I'm not sure.
Thanks for any help.

A sway bar is to help with the "sway" or roll when cornering, it wont do a thing for dive when braking if I am understanding your post right.

You're right it is when cornering.

You might have some weak springs. I had a 51 J back in 54 and if I couuldnt out run them I would out corner them with a stock suspension.

Read the last  part. Aparently you can make the springs with the degree of firmness required.
