I have sent a couple of email and made a few phone calls but so far no response. I am interested in restoring the interior of a 1949 Kaiser DeLux. The car has what looks like corduroy at the top, a cloth (which I think is volta cloth) and then carpeting on the door panel. The interior is complete but torn and badly faded. I see in the listing of the manufacturing fund that volta cloth is sold but do not know if this is what is in my car or not. Can someone post a picture of what is being offered from the manufacturing fund so that I can see if it matches what I need?

Have you contacted the upholstery company in Oregon? SMS (I believe is the name) should be able to help you, but keep in mind, owing to the limited demand, they may only run certain fabric/color types annually. Check with the 1949 Kaiser information on KFOCI HANDBOOK CD to see what your car's original color/fabric type was like. It lists TRIM number to color/fabric type; the information is taken off various 1949 model year Confidential Bulletins.

I have been in contact with them and have some samples on the way for them. My idea was if the manufacturer fund already had the correct Volta cloth I would buy it there. The problem is I have asked about five times and have yet to get a sample, photo or even a response.
If it's not available I'll go to another source.

sent off the fabric samples to SMS today! Hopefully they will be able to reproduce the material and I can get started on the interior. Anxious to hear back from them.

Good news! They can reproduce the fabric.
