Seems there is a little demand to bring this manual online.
I will scan a chapter a day until it is all here.

It definitely is a must have. It's great. Keep one in trunk and one on workbench.
-
Awesome!! Many, many thanks for this! I have been searching everywhere for one and could not locate one for sale anywhere on the internet. I know how time consuming the scanning of manuals is having done a few myself. I look forward to reading through this thoroughly. Thank you very much.
-
The part 1-B worked for me when I downloaded the file to my hard drive, then opened it from there.
-
Don't forget that KFOCI members get free WANTED ads in KFOCI MONTHLY BULLETIN. You can look for manuals, parts, ???? relating to K-F or certain Willys products.

If you are having difficulty viewing, try right clicking on the hyperlink of the section and selecting "Save Target As".
Save the file to your desktop and then view it ... works great.

Saves my busted up and thoroughly used copy from getting any more greasy paw prints on it, thanks, Jim!

Almost half way through this manual!
-
Based on Jim's notes on the file sizes of the various chapters, it is not possible to include the "big books" for parts and shop manuals as part of a KFOCI Handbook in future. There is not enough space for everything on 1 CD.

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you taking the time to post this manual. It will be an indispensable asset during my attempt to get this old '53 Manhattan back on the road in the near future. Thank you very much!
-
Thanks for doing this Jim. I have a old laptop on my work bench. Impressive when you can pull up the shop manual online. Thanks!
-
You do know the HJ Shop Manual was already online??
-
Yep, shortcuts onto desktop!
-
Does anyone know where I can get the same manual but with the four-cylinder engine? 1952
-
It might be a problem because there were no Kaisers that had a four cylinder engine. The Henry J did but the Henry J has a separate manual. Are you looking for a Henry J manual? Otherwise if you have a Kaiser with a four cylinder in it then it is not original so it could be any number four cylinder engines. If you can post some pictures of the engine it has and likely someone can ID it for you.
-
Yes, the henry j. I bought a 1952. The head says Kaiser supersonic on it. The motor is stuck and I have begun disassembly. I do not know a whole lot about this engine or transmission and haven't really found anything helpful online yet.
-
Here are some motor pics
-
The Henry J shop manual will have all the information you need for that one. It's actually a Willys built engine and the same engine used in many Jeeps from the 1940s till into the 60s I believe. A good source for parts / info for that engine is www.walcks4wd.com
The Henry J shop manual is not mentioned earlier in this post but Jim did put it online here
http://circlekf.com/kflit/SM/kfsm580.html
A '52 Henry J, if it is not a Vagabond model, would likely have Delco Remy electrical components; Generator, Starter, Distributor and Regulator so tune-up parts are readily available but probably not from Walcks as the Jeeps generally had Autolite electrical systems.

thank you this is just what I've been looking for.
