Title: Darrin Fuel Pump - needed
Post by: KFDarrin#164 on September 04, 2014, 08:02:52 PM
The first lesson is to not let your Darrin sit for 14 years .... Ok, lesson learned... and now I am making amends.  Anybody know where I can locate a fuel pump or information on what can be used as a compatible replacement.

the pic shown is the incorrect way to mount an electric pump
it should be as far back to the fuel tank as possible
these pumps are designed as "pushers", not "suckers"

It should be below the fuel level in the tank to avoid "dry starts". They wear rapidly when started dry.

we should all be careful what we post.

years ago I asked for help with transmissions parts.
someone responded with a suggestion.
I used the suggestion and got burned.
when questioned, the person who responded admitted that they never used the company that they stated.

they NEVER should have responded to my question.

so....be careful what you post as facts

What should the fuel pressure be on a Darrin?
