Title: Kaiser on Fox News!
Post by: 51Deluxe on October 09, 2014, 07:31:39 PM
This can't hurt the K-F  recognition factor - watch the last 45 seconds or so. Fox News was at Hershey and got educated on the Dragon:

Just watched the yellow '51 Frazer convertible go for $37,500. If you want to watch the auction live, go here (tonight and tomorrow night):

Yep...saw the interview happen! The show's been great and the crowds are big. Thanks  for the update on the Frazer's sale.

I've never been to Hershey, but two years ago my family was traveling while the Hershey auction was going on so I watched it on my daughter's laptop. I was interested in a couple of cars so I registered to bid. Those two cars went too high, but I continued to watch (with the mouse hovering over the bid button just in case). One of the last cars in the auction was a Chevy 490 (like a Model T). As I watched, suddenly a "You Are the Winning Bidder" pop up came up! I had not clicked on anything. My daughter said, "Yeah, sometimes my trackpad clicks on things- I think something's wrong with it".

Knowing that the auction wouldn't buy my excuse, I sucked it up and became an antique car owner again for the first time in 20 years, of a car I didn't particularly want. At least it was the cheapest car in the entire auction.  Here my daughter and I take delivery:

What did you accidentally pay?

I believe it was $7700. It was a 1919 Chevrolet 490, older restoration holding up well. Nice car but not practical beyond driving around the neighborhood.
