Title: 51 Kaiser Hub to Hub width?
Post by: 51 Silver Dragon on October 14, 2014, 05:33:44 PM
Hey Everybody,

I have a 51 Kaiser and I want to put a mustang II front end on it. I was wondering if anybody know the hub to hub width or has done this yet. I would measure it myself, but the car is in storage about 2 hrs away. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

According to the 1951 Kaiser-Frazer Service Standards book the tread is 58 inches in the front and 58 3/4 inches in the rear.  Let us know where you get your Mustang II front end and how it works out.  I see them advertised for several makes of cars but don't know of anyone putting one on a Kaiser.

I know Fat Man Fabrications used to make Mustang II IFS for the HJ and a few other K-F things, pretty sure you can still get 'em.

Yes, you are right. I am talking with Fatman and Full Tilt about a custom mustang II, which isn't that hard, they just require the correct width.

Thanks you guys.
