I need a left windshield for a 1951 Kaiser. The club repro form lists the 1951 - 1955 windshield, but that is obviously wrong since the 51's are 2 piece windshields.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks, david.

I'm a little new to this site, and I could see the picture, but I was unable to read the text.
I'm a fairly experienced restorer, but this is my first Kaiser. It's a fairly complete car, but sat in a barn for 40 years. Motor is complete, but stuck. We can probably fix that problem here at the shop, but I can't fix the broken windshield! I bought one up north, but it was broken in transit. Poor packing......The company charged a lot to ship the item, then packaged it like it was a brick.
Thanks, david.

Any ideas where I can find the glass? A fellow up in Canada has one, but he won't ship. It's a bit of a drive from Georgia to Canada and back.
There are several supposed reproductions for sale, at huge prices, on eBay. Their prices are half what a parts car is worth! I wouldn't mind having a parts car, as we usually buy one for every car we restore. Sometimes more than one.....

I will let you know as soon as I contact them. It's getting late here in the east, and I have to work tomorrow. I will sign off for now and be back on tomorrow night.
Thanks.

Is this where you got yours?

They might be OK but I'd be a little suspect since they advertise them for 1951,52 and '53 Kaiser. As you know, only the '51 (OK and those leftover '51s which were rebadged as '52 Virginians) were two piece. It may be noteworthy to point out that you can install the '52 - '55 one piece windshield in a '51. It fits right in, you just need the other gasket. Some people highly recommend it but if you're going for originality/authenticity, then you need the two piece windshield.

No....I was a bit skeptical of this offering as well. I bought mine (arrived destroyed) at a salvage yard in MN. They packed it like it was a brick, labeled it as glass, and dumped it in the FedEx.

French Lake? They've got some real boneheads there.

That's right! Boneheads they are.......
I don't know about the radio yet...we're just starting to look the car over now. I'll keep it in mind though, as we have lots of other cars to do...How about early transistor types. Say early to mid 70's?
-
I would be willing to take a look at an early 70s transistor radio. One thing about the tube radios is that tubes are readily available - solid state devices, not so much but I'd be willing to take a shot at one.

Wonderful! I'll be in touch.....
Thanks, david.

You can have a glass shop cut the one piece windshield in half and then you will have both halves brand new!
