This is a rare car. The Carolina was the loss leader, intended to drive foot traffic into showrooms using a low sticker price. Salesmen then tried their best to upsell into a Manhattan or Dragon. Sources say 1136 four-doors were produced and our club registry shows 17 accounted for.
Check out the interior...Henry J door handles and window cranks were used in lieu of the Manhattan units.
Look at it this way, restoring one of these virtually guarantees the only one at a KF show...let alone your local cruise. And, there's almost no chrome or stainless to deal with.

Is the V6 a typo?

Yes, that's pretty common. I see the 226 listed as a V6 quite often.
