This appears to be an early production car as it has the flat rather than convex stainless trim around the door glass. And it's a Special too!

And it's one of those rare ones that has a '53 hood ornament/emblem and '53 head light trim. It still looks like a good fixer-upper regardless.

It appears that it has been converted to 12 volts according to the battery.

It looks like a rust free parts car.  Palmdale is in the high desert and it can get cold there but seldom snows.  It costs just as much to restore a plain Jane 4 door as a deluxe model.

Had a guy look into this.  Here is what he reported:

So much for the running and driving part...it has a broken transmission.

The guy said he is going to fix it and to call back in a couple months.
