Title: The nice '52 That was on Ebay and Craig's List last fall.
Post by: Fid on May 02, 2015, 12:18:02 PM
Jake put a fellow in touch with me about buying a Henry J for his grandson who's name is Henry John. I was going to work out a deal with him on my '52 Vagabond but when I saw this one, I sent him the ad because I really wanted to see it saved.  Original thread -

He bought it and I'm happy to say it certainly went the right owner.

I saw this car this morning and it's the most original Henry J I've seen in a long time. It still has the original paint and it still looks very good. It even has the original tail pipe on it which you never see. Earlier, there was some discussion on the upholstery - my claim that it is indeed original stands. It is original and very nice, including the headliner. The ebay and CL pictures did not do this car justice at all.
I took a picture of the data tag and it's trim code 4481 - "McDonnell Plaid."

The owner has a garage  full of BMW Issettas, a '56 and '57 T-Bird (both mint), a '50 Ford convertible, several Messerschmidts, an immaculate '63 Cadillac convertible and numerous other cars. This HJ looks good among them as all of his other cars.  This  was huge car show that is done the first Saturday morning of every month. I had never heard of it.
