Hi all, been asking select members if they can help as i see what they own if they have a similar car. No, i have not asked ALL of the KF parts sources as yet, prefer to enjoy the hunt. I have a 1951 Frazer Convertible- was from Iowa then :LaPorte Indiana a few years. I have assembled most of what i know is needed to get her back on the road with one exception. The one ear is borken off the external trunk mount hinge (short section mounts to body) on the drivers side. shouldhave an LH cast into the underside. This is NOT the same as the 51 Kaiser hinge, not even close. The Hardtop lists a different part number but that may be cosmetics, for now i want function, so rough and pitted but solid works. I do have all of the pieces from the broken side but have mixed feedback if a repair will hold. Can anyone in the KF world help out? Part to sell or leads will work. about 9 inches tip to tip. Pics and part number not with me- can update tonight. And i cannot be at the nationals- end of January and July are crunch times for reporting at work and i oversee and proof the 500 plus pages so i cannot network there or by random chance find what i need.
The KF communitty appears to be a very helpful group so with luck i will get a working hinge in the coming weeks. All help is appreciated.

If you are a member you can advertise needs for free in the ads section of KFOCI MONTHLY BULLETIN.

Scott, I sent you by email pictures of the hinges on a convertible and on a hardtop and I cannot discern any difference.

Thanks, Doc/ R. Owen. If you tried yesterday, "friends" had set 30MB of pictures and locked up my email- working again today. Appreciate the assist. Made up my mind a couple things around home need to go, making room for other options.

Try Rudy Phillips at 760-789-3608. Trunk hinges are identical on hardtops and convertibles. There is a left and a right. I know Rudy got some in inventory a few years ago when a Virginian got parted out.

Rudy can help, he has a piece that is in need of attention. Still have a couple leads from people in the club to trace down first but he Is my fallback.
Still open to any leads,,,
