Tried to start my 51 it sat for months think i jumped it wrong. I touched one of the small wires on the solenoid I nave replaced the battery and starter solenoid I can spin the starter if I jump the solenoid but have no power of any kind to lights horn or switches . I can't find a fuse . Have I fried the whole system?

My guess is that the solenoid is no good. Replace it and see what happens. Check your connections as well.

Miles, is it possible the heavy cables to the solenoid are reversed? According to the wiring diagram, the horn ties to the hot side of the solenoid which goes directly to the battery. If the two large cables are reversed, the starter won't spin and the horn won't work.
Or, is it possible the over drive wire and the small solenoid wire are reversed? They look quite similar. If they're reversed it would not start but the horn should still work. Here's a picture

New solenoid wiring similar to Lowell picture but still nu click when push starter button

Lowell you were right Had a friend from local car club look at my 51 and after several hours he discovered I had stupidly reversed small wire leads when I replaced the solenoid car starts fine now any to test old solenoid to see if it is good

I'm glad it's running again Miles! Sometimes something like that bites us and sometimes more than once!
