The North Carolina Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club (SDC) had their 'big' annual Tri-State Meet in Maggie Valley NC this past weekend. Ron Albrecht, a long time Studebaker guy, has moved up to Kaisers. He brought a beautiful '55 Manhattan to the meet, and it garnered a lot of attention. Yes, Studebaker owners appreciate Kaisers too! :)

Paul, thanks for the press! This car used to belong to Ken Lindsey, long time KF member in Normal, IL and an overall great guy! Ron just bought it recently and knowing Ken, I'm sure its an excellent car. So...one left NC and another one arrived!!! ;)
Now the big question, is...when are we going to see a Kaiser or Frazer in your driveway!! Common, get rid of a couple of those Studes and "move up" like Ron!!! Michelle will love it!! :)
Heck, I'll come over and visit more often and let you drive me to the cruise ins!!! ;D

Ken kept that car in first class order. You made a good buy there. Definitely one of the better 54's in the club.

Last I saw that '55 (Ken's) was in Auburn at that National in '04. Classy car indeed.

Just to clarify - the car is not mine. It is owned by Ron Albrecht.

Drove my 54 Manhattan to car show weekend before last, loaded with grandsons then to work last Monday taking a young associate to meeting in it. Drove my model at to see a 98 year old gentleman who drove it around church yard about 15 years ago. Then today drove my 24 Stude Spl Six to work today. Get em out! Young folks are amazed, no point of reference, and bring tears to older folks eyes.
