Title: Crank for an automatic needed
Post by: IowaTom on October 26, 2015, 09:29:12 AM
A friend here (in Iowa) is working on a '51 Kaiser engine and needs a crankshaft for an auto tranny.
If you know of any available, I will pass along the contact info.  Thanks!

Tom, I ended up with an extra crankshaft because one came along with the block I bought when I had my engine rebuilt a year ago.  I really don't know which engine it was with (the doner or mine) as my rebuilder used what he wanted to and I ended up with what was left.  I really don't know anything about it.  Will take $100 for it; best if picked up...heavy as you know (I'm in NC).  How can you tell if its for an automatic?

Auto crank has different bolt pattern than stick on the rear where it connects to flywheel. If your car is a stick the extra one you have is most likely also a stick. I have an automatic from a 54 engine. SE Wisconsin by the lake. Can contact me if interested.
