I'm in the same boat. I just crawled under my new acquired Darrin for the first time and see that my car is due for a new system.

Waldron's carries them:

Looking at the pictures of both the aluminized  and the stainless exhaust systems there are 2 items that are wrong. They are the muffler and the tailpipe.
Looking at the pictures I'm not sure about the front and/or the intermediate pipes. How do I know because several years ago I worked for several months with Joe (lost his last name) to get a system that could be installed on the Darrin without any mods except maybe to cut 2 inches off the main pipe (front) attaching to the #2 pipe.  The muffler called out for it in the Manual 2000 pg 15 says it should be 4 inches in diameter and 14 inches long and a 19 inch pipe welded to the outlet of the muffler. At the time the manual 2000 was printed it said the muffler was available from Ron Meditz, (since passed) maybe they still have them.  Worth a call.  An owner from CA bought a total system soon after Joe and I had completed the study and told all those at the Darrin breakfast, I believe it was in San Diego, that he  installed it without a hitch.  I have pictures of the system that I  installed on my D if any one is interested.  To be honest, all the pictures look like the original system that was sold by Waldron probably 20  years ago and I'm here to tell you that it didn't fit without a lot of cutting and bending to get  it  installed on a car in San Antonio. Then if u look in the parts book you,ll find listed in the accessory section a call for an exhaust deflector and not even I could  put a deflector on that bent tail pipe.  It looks to me like Waldrons is selling the old system and not the one that Joe had finalized.  Now if any one has any questions or critacisams post me a reply
