The door (around the outside) and trunk weather stripping is all dried up, cracked, ripped etc. on my 54 Manhattan, if it is left out in the rain uncovered I am sure it will leak. Does anyone on here have any suggestions as to what to use or a place to order this from that won't be so expensive that I have to take a second mortgage on the family farm. :P

Members of the KFOCI can advertise for free in the WANTED section of the KFOCI MONTHLY BULLETIN that goes out to all regular members of the club. Being a member of the forum is NOT the same thing as being a member of the KFOCI. Many of the regulars here are not club members and do not want to join but want access to parts, info, etc.

Did you check with Rudy Phillips? That's where I got mine.

I live not too far from Metro Molded parts. I was looking at that site - a lot of things for KF are not right, at least not based on the pictures.
-
I've had the same experience as Fid with Metro. If you're just looking for "something" their weatherstrip MIGHT work. I would go with Rudy to get the correct weatherstrip for our cars.

Restoration Specialties have what you need. Their number is 814-467-9842. I used their products in my '51 Kaiser. Door glass
"cat whisker" clips are item 2348-win. Window channel in 72" long strips is item 8l-72-win. Window channel in 96" length is
item M123-96-win. The trunk gasket is by the foot. 10' is just right and is item 200206-WS. They have the correct oval head
bumper bolts and is item BB004-scr. Ask for their catalog and look up each item before ordering. They are located in PA. I bought
other items too and they were very helpful if you call for advice.

Will second the restoration recommendation. Have bought a number of things from them, and everything has been right. their catalog, at least in the past, has had drawings to scale, so you could hold them up to the part and compare.

Restoration Specialties has an online catalog. It's well worth checking out.
