Title: 1948 Kaiser Manhattan
Post by: 51Deluxe on January 12, 2016, 08:44:43 PM
I go daily to a site called "Barn Finds" and this 1948 Manhattan was posted there today. If you need a parts car in CA, this may be the one.

Looks more like a 49-50 Frazer. The 53K hood ornament gives it a different look!

Indeed it is a '49/'50 Frazer Manhattan.  No such thing as a '48 Kaiser Manhattan.

It's always painful to see my favorite KF for $200 about $1500 away.

It's a 1949 Manhattan, and is just fine as a project. No dents in the body, complete, and only $200.  This will probably prove the restoration hobby is dead.

I am in Iowa and I would buy it within 500 miles of me. Iowa has maybe 5% of California's population.  Yet there is no interest in CA?

Joe Frazer, did you note it has the overdrive cable you need?

Yes I did!

My plan was get the HJ out this weekend and try to fit a Packard cable I have but six inches of partly cloudy put an end to the plan for now.
