Does ANYONE know the difference in the size / specifications for the motor mounts for the KF 226 engines, beginning with the 1947models? Some are sold for $15.00 each and NAPA has them for much less. Is there a drawing or spec sheet that defines the hole placement and spacing, overall height, etc.?
If so, please assist,
Thanks

Are you looking for front or rear motor mounts and for what year?
-
Thanks Gordie,
I recently replaced both the front and rear mounts on my 47 Special with those from NAPA. After 69 years, the rubber on all of them was swollen to the point that it was not detectable if the fronts and rear mounts started out the same thickness, etc. If someone (maybe yourself) has both a front and rear mount that is not swollen, perhaps I can get a photo or detail drawing of the dimensional differences. I was able to use the same part on both the front and back, but since the part numbers are different, I am still wondering if that is the correct solution. In engineering terms, part numbers are changed when there are differences in "form", "fit", or "function". Nobody has defined these parts yet to my satisfaction. Please help! PS The car runs very well after being in storage for about 40 years. Still a good car with many memories.

The 47-48 rear mounts were unique to those years...... This page provides some information - but no dimensions.

Here's a picture of NOS front and rear mounts used on the 47-48 cars. The rear mount is noticeably larger.

Hello Jim,
The enclosed photos are of two that I have.
The solid mount is about 0.1 inches taller than the one with the cutout.
The number on the solid mount is 213100. Do you have a parts list that I can check to verify that number please? Also, is either of these applicable for the transmission mount for a 47 or 48 car? Where can I verify that info, also?

Neither of the pictured mounts will work for your car. The 213100 unit is noted in the 1952-53 parts list as motor mount applicable to those engines (and going forward 54-55). The other mount looks like a NAPA and other brand aftermarket mount. The transmission mounts for your car are taller than the engine mounts. Chris at kfparts.com has new transmission mounts for your car.

Jim,
Would it be possible for you and Chris to get some very good photos and measurements of the front, rear and transmission mounts for the 47-489 cars and provide that to us so we can get them corrected? We would really like to have that knowledge if it is available.
Thanks,
Jerry

When I was looking for some hard to find mounts for my Aero I stumbled across some KF mounts listed at thenandnow in MA. They actually revulcanized my axle bumpers, and I fount the others NOS at northwesternautoparts in MI.

Thank you sir,
I am really wanting to know the exact thickness, mounting dimensions, and part numbers (KF) for the 47-48 front, rear, and transmission mounts.
Hopefully, someone will be able to provide me with that substantiated information.
Have a great day,
Jerry

Thank you sir,
Please confirm the dimensions of the thickness of the parts and the dimensions of the holes.

You're welcome and good luck!!
Seems the KF mounts have subtle differences even though they look the same at a glance, as do Willys mounts.
I can't remember the different KF years & mounts thenandnow stocked but there were a few. Northwesternautosupply has warehouses of NOS parts and they had my Aero mounts in stock.
