Hi, all – thought I'd put feelers out here for one of those aluminum Edmunds heads for a Henry J 161c.i. 6-cylinder. This is going into my dad's '52 J that he bought in 1958 and I finally inherited. I wanna do something a little special with it, so a few hop-up parts would be just so cool.
Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you. I'm offering a finder's fee if you come across one of these things, too!

Now THAT is cool, Jake!! Wonder if that motor is still around?

The two ads posted, one from Jalopy Journal and one from ebay are for the Kaiser 226 CID engine, not the Henry J 161 CID and there is a big difference. I never heard nor saw of an aluminum head for the 161 HJ engine - there could be such a thing but I never saw one. The picture in the next post is a Henry J 161 with the multi carb manifold. Those I have seen and I know Mike H made one for this Allstate so you may be able to come up with something like that.

John Parker showed me a 6-161 HJ aluminum head way back when. He said it caused his HJ to overheat and he sold it. About 5-6 years ago an aluminum 6-161 HJ head sold on ebay for about $500. Other than as a novelty ,I do not think they are worth while.
