Any suggestions on where to obtain a new steering wheel for my Frazer? Or perhaps a company that is able to pour the resin moulding around the steering wheel? My steering wheel is in great shape except it is missing that white stuff with the finger grips in it that goes around the outside of the steering wheel - the hand grip? Or, any ideas others have used to replace that which is missing so you can hold onto the steering wheel. Thanks for the information.

Dale Hammon's son Steve once worked on using filler materials to fix the rubber wheels (as used on 1951 Kaiser Specials) and it worked very well. While Tenite plastic (the steering wheel material) is much more of a challenge to "reconstruct" if anybody can do it, I think it could be Steve. You may want to check with Steve or Dale on this.

There is a company, www.danddautomobilia.com , that specialize in steering wheel restoration.
I understand they can completely restore a damaged steering wheel. I have a call into them now about restoring my '51 Frazer wheel. I don't have any other info at this time because they have been closed since last week for the holiday, but they did call and was promised a call tomorrow to discuss my restoration.
Good luck...

Thank you all for the great information I will start making calls. Does anyone know what the original color on the steering wheel of my 1949 Frazer would have been? The car color is the Blade Green Metallic. Looking forward to a great new year with my new project!
