A 226 weighs about 500 lbs.

I have one being shipped in transit right now.
Packed up with a transmission it weights 865 pounds says the shipping company.

That probably includes the weight of the crate also but maybe not accessories.

That's about right. A hydramatic weighs right around 325 lbs.

This one is a manual transmission with it.  ... Most everything is real steel ... heavy!  Carb, Fuel Pump Distributor not so much but it all adds up.
