always had excellent quality and service from F+F products, batteries included.

I've been using an Optima 6 volt. Not cheap but worth it. Doesn't look right at all, but mine is about 12 years old and still cranks the car.

AGM batteries are well worth the price. They tolerate far more use/abuse cycles than a flooded cell battery and self discharge very slowly. Someone will probably correct me but I think a standard flooded cell can self discharge as much as 7% per month.
