Title: Transmission
Post by: shawn_and_his_kaiser on May 11, 2016, 04:32:01 PM
Aside from being a 3 speed, how do I know what transmission I have? I do know that I don't have a overdrive.

My car is nearly all original except for the muffler and a few electronic components under the hood. Less than 26k original miles!

Absolutely, positively  wrong. Kaiser Bill slipped up on this one. No type 90 ever made it into the Big Kaisers!

It should be a t86. The  t90 was not a good match for the torque developed by the 6-226.Some Willys used a t90 with a long input shaft behind a 6-226. i drove a Willys wagon so equipped.
