Title: Kaiser 4 door convertible protype

Have come across a possible 1954 ? Kaiser 4 door factory protoype, does anyone have any information on this subject ?

Post a picture?  I don't believe the factory made any convertible prototypes of the '54 as the Kaiser car was doomed at that point and it would have been deemed too expensive for nothing (but that didn't stop them with other dead-ends...).  I have seen photos of '54 convertibles that were made by owners or perhaps a dealer.

Unless you have a SPEC-FO number on the body tag, or the 999/888 paint and trim numbers, this "factory prototype" could very likely be someone's attempt to make a convertible after the fact.  A factory built car should also have a notable number of ADDITIONAL body mounting points to help compensate for the loss of rigidity that occurs when the top was cut off.  They found this out when they did the 1951 prototypes in the Experimental Engineering department.
