While going through some newly acquired Kaiser-Frazer literature I ran across some K-F export service bulletins that among interesting topics were how to unload a crated car and heavy duty suspensions being installed on 1952 Henry J's but what was interesting to me is identifying K-F products assembled in foreign countries. There are code letters in front of the serial number but after the prefix that identifies the make and year. We are all aware of H for Israel, R for Holland and T for Canada but I was not aware of assembly plants in J for Japan and M for Mexico. There is certainly not much information on these plants and I wonder if any of the cars have survived and how long they were in production there. Interesting!
