Does anyone have a Ventshades crossover listing and can tell me what a set (4) of G6 go to? These are the same stainless vent shades used on our cars.
The label has fallen off the box! :o
Thanks, Mike

If that is the number that is stamped on the shade it is probably a manufacturers number. KF had their own part numbers for each set and there was a set for 47-50, 51-55 2 door, 4 door, coupes with no vents for the rear on business coupes plus a set for Henry J's. If you can list the length of the front and rear shade maybe someone could compare with their car and determine which set you have. They are certainly a desirable accessory.

Each shade will have a stamping on the edge where the shade fits into the window track. I have a set for the 51-55 cars and the number on one of the shades is K16LF (LF = left front). Look to see if yours has similar numbering. The number isn't easy to find...but it should be there if it was made by either Kromvent or Ventshade.

Gordie & Jim...thanks for the responses.
Jim, yes, the stamping is just like the K 16 LF etc.; I've had a number of sets for the Kaisers...these are exactly the same, packaging, screw packet, and all. however, instead of K 16, it is G 6.
Trying to figure out what the application(s) is. There are 4.
Graham?

Ventshade recycled their old numbers and did so in this case. G6 crosses over to a 2 piece set that fits an 82-93 S10 and S15 pickup.

Jim, the box that the set is in was manufactured in 1950. Sorry if I'm not being clear, but what I am looking for is what was the ORIGINAL application(s) for the G 6 Ventshades? These will not fit a Chevy S10. I probably should have used the term Ventshades Catalog rather than the term "crossover."
Trying to get this set into the hands of someone in the old car hobby that has a car these will fit.
Make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. I mentioned the current application for the number you supplied in the event anyone else finds a current Ventshade book and sees the same thing. I clearly understand that you are looking for a period application list for your set. That, I do not have.
Post them on the AACA site...someone there will know.

The G was probably for GM products which could have worked for most of the GM line. Take your shades to the next K-F meet and compare to the cars on display or measure them and put an ad in the Bulletin asking for help. If there are only two in the set they would be for '51-'52 Kaiser business coupe which used fronts only.
