Interesting car. That body style (coupe) was only offered in '51 if I remember correctly.  Looks like it once had a continental kit on it and it has a '52 Deluxe/Manhattan hood ornament.  A rare car that's for sure.  Looks like a '52 or '53 Manhattan sitting next to it.

That is not a business coupe but a dlx. club coupe with back seat and it does seem to have a 1952 hood ornament.  The Continental kits did not come out until the 1952 Kaisers were announced so the continental is not original to the car unless it is a 1952 Virginian.  Coupes were only offered for the 1951-52 years.  That one would make a nice project.

The retro fit continental kit for the '51 Kaiser was announced January 22, 1952. The bulletin states that "the use of a Continental Spare Wheel Mount on the new 1952 Kaiser models has created a demand for this unit for installation on 1951 Kaiser models..."  so it could have been retro-fitted on a '51 but as Gordie points out, if it's a '51 it would not have shipped that way.

Yes, this was on the forum here about 3 weeks ago.  Now shows (using your link) that the ad has expired.  Really soft market.   I would pass on the Continental kit wouldn't you?  He wants to keep it and take that much off, I say OK.
