The car has been sold to a guy from Maryland.  He and his son drove down to Kentucky towing a trailor.  They loaded the car, paid me in cash and were gone within an hour.  They were two cool dudes.  He called me today and thanked me for the car and said that he has found the car to be in very good condition!  I should have held out for $7,000 but I let it go for $5,600.  He sounded very happy to have the car!

I just got done putting the bumper and grille back into the car!  That isn't rust on the grille and bumper but reflections from inside the garage.  I can't get it out of the garage because my wife is parked behind it!

Thanks, I didn't like the sound of this email and I forwarded it to Pay Pal! It was sent to spoof@paypal.com.  I gotta run as the truck is here to pick up my car.  The driver just gave me a notorized IOU so as soon as I sign the title we are good to go!  LOL!

There are a couple of grammer errors in the email that worry me but I'm not sure why!  I hope this offer is legit!

I have my 1951 Henry J for sale on Auto Trader Classic and I received an email asking if I still had the car.  I replied that I did still have the car.  Then I received this email:

Thank you for getting back to me,can you assure me that i will not be disappointed if i buy this Vehicle as a Birthday gift for my Dad? as  I'm ready to pay your asking price but not cash in person because I'm an Oceanographer and i am presently on a contract which will end in couple of months, the contract is strictly no call due to the lack of reception on the sea area, but I'm able to access my mail through my laptop and my only quickest payment option is PayPal,its safe fast and secure and i will be responsible for the pay pal transaction charges so you can get your expected amount.
If you don't have an account with paypal, its pretty easy to open one,Just log on to www.paypal.com and sign up.I hope we can make the purchase as fast as possible? as my Dad's birthday is fast approaching,am sure he will love this vehicle, his a mechanic and a handy man,so if there is anything that need to be fixed in it just let me know he will handle it.
I have a mover that will come for the pick up once payment clears in your account and he will handle the title for me.I look forward to hear from you with the information below.

Does that sound like a scam to you?  I don't know how someone could scam a person using Pay Pal!  I'd like to sell the car but this sounds too good to be true!

Can you provide a picture of the Data Plate and give the Body Serial number.  You said it in primer now, do you have a current picture or is some of the ones you provided here what it looks like now?

The serial number would be K5143-043685 and all of the pictures that are black primer are current pictures.  The original hub caps are under the full wheel covers.  here are a couple more pictures.

I am in Owensboro Kentucky which is in western Kentucky about 50 miles from Evansville Indiana or 70 miles from Bowling Green Kentucky.

Here are some additional pictures!  The car has a fold down rear seat and a trunk lid!

I have decided to sell my 1951 Henry J rather than turn it into a drag car.  The body has been sand blasted down to bare metal and it has been primered.  The car has new tires, new brakes and a recent tuneup.  It runs and drives good.  I would rather that it was restored because of the scarcity of these cars.  I would like to get $6,500 for he car.  My wife doesn't want me to put  lot of money into restoring the car.  I have all the front end parts to put it back to stock.  The Moon tank on the front will go with the car.  Here are some pictures.

Possibly a bad ground. I had that problem on another car and reground, for lack of a better word, that light, and that fixed it.

Thanks, that makes sense to me now that I think about it.  I'll look at that first thing in the morning!

I bought and installed a new bulb.  If I step on the brakes both taillights light up.  But if I turn the lights on with the brake pedal pressed the right taillight goes out.  If I turn the lights on both taillights light up.  But if I step on the brakes with the lights on the right one goes out!  What do you think about that?

One of my brake light bulbs is not working.  The taillight works but it goes out when I step on the brakes.  I pressed in the clips on the housing and it came out a couple of inches.  The only way I could get to the bulb was to pry out the lens.  Is that the way to replace the bulb?  The bulb looks OK but I am going to NAPA to get a new bulb.  The bulb says T1158 and has a place that says top. Could the bulb have been put in wrong?

I picked up the car today and drove it home.  The tag on the cowl says interior 4453 and paint 325.  From searching the forum I figured that the paint was Cape Verde Green.  I had no luck searching for theinterior of 4453.
