I was looking on Craigslist in my area and discovered this, but I am no good with technology, so I don't know how to post this other than describing the link - it's posted on Craigslist from the Greenville South Carolina area - it is a 1947 Kaiser, it does have many pictures and the "Custom" fender script can be seen.  It has new tires which are radial wide whites and it shows 50,400+ miles….says it runs and drives….asking $6950….here is the link  I hope it works for you……it's not mine, but I know there might be someone out there looking for a Kaiser Custom to restore….   greenville.craigslist.org/cto/5819457110.html

I saw another 54 Late Special one time owned by a man near Binghamtom NY whose outside colors were white over dark green, but had the exact same interior materials and colors.  I no longer have any KF materials to look names and/or code numbers up, but I think the Late Specials only had 2 choices of colors for interiors and fabrics?

Carl Hering let me borrow this very car when he owned it, for my oldest daughters wedding in 2008, it even matched the sashes, flowers and bridesmaids gowns!

If I recall correctly, the 51 and 54/55 Kaiser's had the flat style corner pieces and the "real" 52's as well as 53's had the banana style corner pieces.

Rt 81 was opened late this afternoon.  According to news reports, Adams NY (near Watertown) had a total near 100 vehicles (semi's and cars) stuck there on Rt 11 due to the detour from 81 and nobody able to make it up the hill into Watertown after 4-5 feet of snow.  All is cleared tonight.

NYS Thruway open - Rt 81 is still closed from the Mexico NY exit to just north of Watertown near Ft. Drum
