Many thanks!!Ok!! That is half of it. Can I assume it should run down the frame conveniently routed, and hook at the bottom back of the tranny with a suitable bracket, fashioned or factory, and come under the solenoid and attach to the rear leaver. When the handle is pushed in the leaver will be in the back position(OD) and pulled out (conventional Drive). Now,does anyone have or know of a fair used overdrive  handle and used cable bracket for the tranny. Thanks again!! Bill

Still Needed Help! Yes I feel I can figure it out but would just like to see an original proper install to keep it close as possible and for education purpose. Thanks.  Can anyone share or point me to a picture of the routing for the over drive cable. Where it goes through the firewall , any clamps along the way, hook ups to tranny and lever etc. Also would like to obtain original used handle. Many Thanks Bill

While I am waiting to hopefully sell my Kaiser I am going to keep plugging away and let my dad drive it some. I thought I would  put an over drive cable on it since I have the cable, and would like to obtain the correct  Kaiser handle. Also I would like to see the routing of the cable and the proper clamps. Can't find anything in any of my books. Thanks for the help. Cheers! Bill

AND NOW THE REST OF THE STORY!! As Paul Harvey would say! And, yes that is my lovely wife driving the little car and if you listen carefully you may hear the engine running or her saying "Can I cut this damn thing off now?" She does like the car and is not scared to drive the wheels off it. Oh! and that is her Fairlane fun car and it is for sale also. Model A is not for sale. Cheers Bill

I agree, that is exactly why I bought a set of spare points and cond from them. The arms were firm and straight and the spring felt right and the contacts lined up. Can't see that by mail!!

The general part number be it Westing House, GE , Sylvania, is 6006 ebay is usually full of them and O' rileys may have them. And, by the way, O'rileys stocks points and condenser for both the autolite and Delco distributors and they look like very good quality. Cheers! Bill

See if this helps! Bill   Additional info, after reading KFLibrary post, he is right so be careful. These however did come from  47-48 Service and Parts manuals and they still may not be what you have. Some times the writers use the description "typical". Cheers! Bill
