Anyone else have blank pages in the their Quarterly magazine? Pages 8-9, 12-13, 16-17, and 20-21 are completely blank in my magazine.

I need the small spring that goes on the clutch release bearing and the transmission collar on a Henry J. Mine is a overdrive if that makes any difference.

Last night on the TV show Elementary. There was a blue with white top Kaiser. It was parked in front of a garage and showed the front and side views.

Where is the best place to buy the rubber fuel line that goes between the gas tank line and the fuel pump on a 6cyl Henry J? I started my 51 up and the line has deteriorated and is leaking.

Getting ready to change the oil in my Henry J 6cyl. It has never had a filter on it. I have a NOS oil filter kit with all the lines, mount, bolts, instructions, etc. Should I install , or keep driving it without a filter.

Henry J & Allstate Forum / overdrive blows fuses

I got the fuel pump working on my J and now the overdrives not working. I drove it this morning and everything was fine. This afternoon it wouldn't go into overdrive. When the overdrive engages it blows the fuse on the firewall relay. I blew 3 30amp fuses trying it ouIt had a 30 amp fuse in it already instead of 20. I checked the relay with a 9volt battery and it clicked. Also checked the wires for bare spots where it could be shorting out. Any ideas? It's Fid's dad's old grey 51 J

Went to get my J out of storage and the fuel pump's no longer working, I had to rig up a electric pump to move it.
Anyone had any experience with "Then and Now' or "The Classic Preservation Coalition" rebuilding your fuel pump? Mine is a Carter double action pump.

Just a heads up to be carefull. I bought a car cover from Cal. Car Cover co. A real nice one, cloth with brushed cotten lining, I've used it for a year. Sat. I was going to cover the HJ up and had the cover kind of wadded up and tossed it onto the roof and missed juged and it landed on the sunvisor. I guess the weight of the cover maybe combined with the colder weather caused the windshield to crack where the center support for the visor mounts. It cracked from the mounting point up to the top of the windshield in 3 places on the driver side, made me sick. Now I'll have to replace the windshield and maybe the seal. This is something I never thought about. Thought I'd mention it to save this happening to someone else.
Does any one know where to get a repo or NOS windshield seal?

The speedometer on my 51 Henry J has started acting up. I've checked the gear and the cable and they look perfect, I also lubed the cable.
At around 40 mph or higher it starts buzzing and goes to 100mph, if you slow down to 20 or so it starts working right untill you speed up again.
I mounted a 52 HJ speedometer under the dash to see if it worked and it was ok at all speeds for about 2 or 3 miles, then it went to 100mph and broke the speedometer where it no longer works. I also put a 72 Chevy truck speedometer under the dash and it started buzzing and pegged it also. I've never had this happen before with a speedometer.
Has anyone any ideas? Thanks John
