Just found out how to find the forum again by asking on one of the KF facebook group pages. Someone mentioned but wouldn't confirm a comment that seemed to say this forum is now for paid club members only. Anyone here know if that's the new status quo?

General Discussion / Speedometer drive gear changes

Seems my speedometer is running 5mph fast at 50mph. I see in the parts book that there's a variety of speedometer gears in "one tooth" increments.
Anyone got any input on what the mph change would be going up or down 1 or 2 teeth on the drive gear?

General Discussion / Overdrive engagement speed

We've been putting a few miles on the new engine, at relatively slow speeds. The overdrive has not been engaging & I fault traced everything down to supposedly the governor being the issue. Swapped another one in from a parts transmission which didn't seem to make a difference till we hit 50mph for the first time. Seems to be shifting just fine at somewhere between 45/50mph but the Borg Warner manual states 28mph. At this point I'm not even sure the one we took off wouldn't have clicked at the faster speed.
Anyone got any input on this?

Parts For Sale & Wanted / Reproduction Aero & Jeepster door mirror

Received an email last night that these are now in stock.

This is a nice reproduction of the Aero door mirror listed in the Aero parts book as part # 94462, Mirror - Outside, Group 35-25.

I've only seen two of these in many years of parts hunting, I bought the first one, the other is on ebay now for $365.

Found wiper blades like the ones that were on my Aero in the 70's, and all the parts cars. Pictured are new ones, an old one & an NOS one that came with the NOS arms. '52 & '53 call for 11 inch, '54/'55 12 inch.

Parts For Sale & Wanted / Aero Small Rear Window Gasket for sale

Small rear window gaskets have arrived. They will fit cars with and without the stainless trim. I'm selling them at my cost not including the extrusion die expenses. I had 10 made, 3 are already gone.

EDIT: Duane Hayes has bought my remaining rear window gaskets. He is also having a few front & panoramic rear window gaskets reproduced and will be the sole source I know of for front & rear Aero window gaskets---- his email is---- donegoing2002@yahoo.com

This turned up on the Aero group page. Don't know if it's a reproduction or really surplus. After all the rumors decades ago of Jeeps & Harley Davidsons in crates, it's like seeing a unicorn.

Not mine. Seems a bit pricey but it's about the same price as any other bumper jack listing. Contrary to the sellers description, the paint looks OEM to me.
