Need some help guys. The 3 spring clutch is what was originally in the car. 20+ years ago when the body shop had the body I had the chassis at home. I ordered a clutch disk and was rushing to get it back together to go back to the shop. I vaguely remember thinking something wasn

Is there a difference? Someone on EBay is listing exhaust for 48 Frazer. Is there a difference between the two?

Kaiser Forum / Transmission and rear ended fluids

My car has been sitting for the better part of the last 30 years. I’m confident the transmission and reared fluids are still the original. I would think it’s time to replace them. What fluids should I use? I assume there will be gaskets I will need?

Is there some sort of list or some way to know exactly what size, length and thread pitch are needed for the various bolts, nuts, etc. that I need to put the car back together? For instance, we’re getting ready to put the gas tank back in. I need to know what I need to mount it and what screws I need to install the fuel sending unit.

Getting ready to reinstall the gas tank after having it boiled and sealed. Looking for a new sending unit. Can’t seem to find one for a ‘48. They all seem to be for ‘51 and later.

Kaiser Forum / Rear main seal

My son and I are preparing to pull the motor out of the 48 to replace the rear main and oil pan gasket. As I understand it we’re going to unbolt the main caps to raise the crank enough to replace the rear main. What should they be torqued back to and is it ok to reuse the bolts?

Kaiser Forum / Oil pan gasket, rear main seal and clutch

My son and I are finally getting back to work on our 48 Kaiser. Who would be a good source for oil pan gasket, rear main seal and clutch? Is there a front main seal that we should also do since we’ll already be in that far?
