General Discussion / Henry J and 51-53 Kaiser Engine Paint Color Code
« on: April 16, 2023, 11:18:27 AM »
I am looking all over this forum and can't find the old chat where someone posted the paint code or name for the Green Engine Paint for the Engine.  Anyone know the current name of the paint and where I can find it?

OK, Thanks for the input.   Was this the same color then for the engine on the 51 Kaiser as that appears to be the color my 51 Engine is.

General Discussion / Sagging Leaf Spring Assist
« on: March 19, 2023, 12:53:12 AM »
My 1951 K512 Deluxe had rear air shocks to compensate for the sag for many years. After a air leak developed, I have now removed the air shocks and rent back to normal shocks.  I am debating on getting new rear springs or doing a leaf spring assist like this one.

https://www.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/leaf-spring-assist-kit/p/surebilt-3in-over-leaf-spring-assist/975057_0_0?spps.s=6202&cmpid=LIA:US:EN:AD:NL:1000000:TAT:19488533507&&CATARGETID=120054150001289584&CADevice=c&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeDhdwybGACjz_M8kd6jmbtGpmw6owrNFJCdCv5WXHV6ZvAziIY9KTkaAovIEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Has anyone had any luck with these assist kits on our cars?

General Discussion / Rose Parade New Years Eve Car Cruise
« on: January 02, 2019, 12:41:28 PM »
Sharing awesome photo of our 1951 Kaiser Deluxe turning off Colorado Blvd during the New Years Eve Car Cruise in Pasadena on 12/31/18.  Over 1500 cars cruise back and forth on Parade route.  Cars meet up at different Meeting spots early in morning, then all hit Colorado Blvd at 10 AM.  Our meeting spot at a Mall had 500 cars alone.  I was only K-F product seen.
SoCal Region, we are going to plan This for Next year.  Colorado Blvd was gridlocked with classic cars
Both directions while people camping out for Parade also enjoyed all the beautiful cars.  Happy New Year everyone.

Henry J & Allstate Forum / Speedometer Pinion Gear 16 Tooth
« on: May 10, 2017, 11:02:54 PM »
My 1952 Henry J 6 cylinder with no overdrive needs a 16 tooth Speedometer pinion gear that goes into the manual transmission.   Any suggestions where I can locate one?
I see other post from 2012 that talks about Whacks having the 18 tooth, but this is definitely 16 tooth.
The shaft of the gear has part # SW448145

Suggestions?

I messaged the seller, told him I wanted 8 shoes, and can he give me a update price quote on shipping to my zip code since his ad says that he combines shipping.  He sent me back a invoice through Ebay and it was done.

Even if you don't need shoes right now, its good price to have on the shelf.

I ordered 8 of these brake shoes for our Henry J.   Wore gloves and a respirator installing them.  The Henry J stops great now!!!

Buying 8 shoes, shipping was only 14.75, flat rate box.
