The things you list that might be taken along for safety are good but you also have to have all the necessary TOOLS, I have had minE towed to a garage and gave them the Kaiser interchange catalog and they had me on the road the next day using the NAPA PART NUMBERS. dosn't take any room at all in the trunk.

OK FID, i,M IN MY GARAGE AND SCRATCHING MY HEAD WONDERING ? do i just start replacing everything to do with the ignition or is there some way this 80+ year old guy can get the car to run evenly. where to start, when it won't keep running to test any thing out??

6 VOLT COILS-- don't know if it's good?   Use an OHM METER connect the probes to each terminal. The resistance"" should read 1-43 to 1.58.."" if it reads ZERO it is shorted and NO GOOD or if it reads infinity resistance then it is bad

I have a 53 black& white dragon in my back yard, the floor pan is great, dash is good have replacement rear sail metal to replace rusted area by back windows, engine is overhauled and under my bench, need to over haul the power steering and get the Maree Nichols material then another one will be on the road

PLEASE . If pouring gas in the carb, remove the container to another location. One of our members was assisting starting his car in the garage by dribbling gas in the carb. when it backfired and knocked the container onto the engine and on the floor saturating the carpet the car burned completly along with the neighbors garage, tools everything! the car was a concours trailer Queen valued by Hemmings insurance at $80,000.   Now Try removing the 2 cover screws over the metering jets pour 2-3 ounces into the metering jets that will fill the bowl, pump the accelerator the 2-3 times start the car replace the cover and this is done by you alone, you don't need help. if it didn't catch repeat the process

Hi boatingbill, You should test the bolt depth holes on 3 bolts closest to the carburetor,ALL BLOCKS THAT WERE PRODUCED WERE NOT DRILLED ALL THE WAY THROUGH CAUSING THE BOLT TO BOTTOM OUT BEFORE THE HEAD WAS SECURE. USE A PIECE OF WIRE TO TEST THE DEPTH AND THE LENGTH OF THE BOLT BEING USED. also the 3 bolts closest to the carb always seem to need tightening 3 or 4 times after running the engine.

pricing has not been establshed yet and I have no idea what it will be, as the material is special to the 53 Dragon and the design is super special so all the tooling set up and short run production is yet to be added up. along with a guess as to what quanity will be purchased.  a good example is the Kaiser Keys I had reproduced and the minimun quanity they would run and the few people that exactually purchased them left a big hole in my wallet

Its happening to me and happened 3 years ago, the brakes freeze up on one or another of the wheels on the car. I have been using SILICONE FLUID and the cylinders keep corroding and gumming up. Now i found an article in AUTO RESTORERS magazine explaining the problem. as written there, the problem is the housing is cast iron and the piston aluminum and due to  low electrical conductive action it causes corrosion.

Here is the latest information on the" Laguna" Dragon seat insert material I have been working on. Larry Barker gave us samples of OEM laguna cloth and OEM maroon ang green colors to match up. DOUG @ SMS HAS RECEIVED THE SAMPLES AND INFORMED US THAT HE IS "FINISHING UP THE PROJECT" AND MATERIAL WILL BE AVAILABLE VERY SOON FOR THE DRAGONS.

The paint on the engine is not correct, the vinyl top was not correct, it should have been Bambo, this said the last time i saw it it was owned by Steve Roake , and the material was not available at that time. If he had lived he was going to change it. it runs and drives like a dream. The material on the seats is the  MARIE NICHOLS LAGUNA CLOTH . i AM WORKING ON GETTING IT REPRODUCED AND LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE AVAILABLE BY JUNE. also the loopy material for the 53-54  is back on the front burner
