Coolant line to the heater
« on: April 28, 2017, 06:33:18 PM »
Sprung a leak...on the coolant line that runs across the top of the engine next to the valve cover on the Darrin. Was looking to replace it soon; well it's time:-) It doesn't look like it, but was the original anything special? Is stainless frowned upon? I couldn't take it off when I made it leak. Stopped it temporarily...I was in dress clothes...hah. I planned to spend some time tomorrow to try and get her started, but I need to replace it now before I do.

The original is mild steel, but I know of several restorers who used stainless. So, I'd sat go for it!
