1953 Kaiser on Ebay
« on: May 29, 2018, 04:57:45 PM »
Hi All,
Does anyone have information on this car?  A dealer is selling it for a Mr. Kaiser in Ind.    The dealer can't answer specific questions.  I thought clubmembers in Midwest may be familiar with this car.   thanks,  Jim

Selling for a Mr. Kaiser?  C'mon.  I don't know this dealer but - well - he is a dealer so be careful.

That is ONE beautiful 53 Manhattan.  IF it is a factory offered color combination.  I collect Buick Reattas. So? Well, it seems 75% of them are Bright Red with Tan interior. Your mind grows numb to the shape and color after awhile.

I mention this because the same thing occurs for 53 Manhattans in that light green color (ubiquitous, with no offense to the owners of...) or light blue.   This color (Dark turquoise) is otherworldly in my opinion. On that body it looks great!

More info from the intelligentsia on this forum would be nice.  I have never heard of a car or a "Mr. Kaiser" in Indiana.
No old cars owned.

Not really turquoise but not Polo Green either.  Might have too much metal flake in it for a 1953 color match.  Nice car either way, but optimistic a non halo KF will sell for $20,000.

I have never heard of a car or a "Mr. Kaiser" in Indiana.

At present, there are 33 members in IN (most, if not all, have cars), and one does have the last name Kaiser (previously, there were 2).

Picture 10 Shows the exhaust coming out almost under the Right Bullet.
I can’t tell behind the back seat the white interior almost looks like Leather?

Interesting

If it sells for the asking price, I'm reasonably certain it would be a new high water mark for a 53 Manhattan. Obviously restored to the owners taste, it is a very nice looking car nonetheless.
