Rudy's KF Parts
« on: July 08, 2019, 02:06:24 PM »
I have tried unsuccessfully for the past 2- 3weeks to contact Rudy Phillips either by phone, email, or USPS letter.
Has anyone else had difficulty in contacting him?  I need to inquire as to   the availability of a side door glass for my 47 Frazer.

I ordered parts from him last month.   It is best to get ahold of him in the early am by phone, at least that has been my experience!   He may already be traveling to the Nationals.  He is usually there every year.

Side door glass is flat so any reputable shop should be able to cut new. Rudy might have used but it would be easier done closer to home.

Thanks for the input.  I was trying to expedite the replacement by simply remove and replace but all indications point to removal and having glass cut.  I am a bit concerned about transferring the bottom channel.

Have the glass shop reinstall the bottom channel for you.  They have the material it takes to line the old channel and they can re-install the window in the proper location.  If you can wait for Rudy he will be sure to have an original with the makers bug in the proper location on the glass.  You probably need a new channel also as they wear and cause the glass to break.
