Kaiser-Frazer Facts Books
« on: December 07, 2019, 02:25:31 PM »
Kaiser Frazer facts books were compiled by the factory to help train the dealers and salesmen about all of the information that was necessary to educate the selling force regarding the new cars.  They were printed each year for the Kaiser except for 1950, 1952 and 1955 as those years cars were basically the same as the year before.  Frazer facts books were printed for 1947 through 1951 with the exception of 1950.  The first fact book covered both Kaiser and Frazer and was called "Lets Prepare To Sell" and was  5 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches with 110 pages.  Hard bound notebooks followed with maroon covers for Kaiser and black for Frazer and were 5 x 7 1/2 and contained about 150 pages including paint chips in the '47 and '48 issues.  New page inserts were issued for "49 with instructions to use the old binders and to destroy the earlier pages. The same was true for the '51 Frazer.  Special books were made for 1949 for graduates of the Kaiser Frazer Sales Training Institute with soft covers and no divider pages.   The '51 Kaisers were totally new cars and had a much larger facts book with green covers, 8 x 8 3/4 and 125 pages plus color chips again. The Henry J got its own facts book that was soft bound, 7 1/2 x 8 1/4  with white covers and 104 pages and came with two different style bindings.  Early 1952 Kaisers were almost like the '51's so new new data book was issued however later in the year a stand-up easel type book was issued called "Kaiser-Frazer presents the worlds safest front seat".  1953 used a dual purpose book that was Henry J on one side and when you turned the book over it was for the full size Kaisers.  9 x 12 with green hard covers and un-numbered plastic pages. The final 1954 book was with yellow hard covers, 5 x 7 1/4, 122 pages and was followed by a book of the same appearance however it had 136 pages with a section on the Kaiser Special added.  Another 9 x 11 1/2 inch booklet with green covers was issued called "1954 Kaiser Features with un-numbered indexed pages which included the Henry J, Kaiser and Darrin.  There is a lot of information in each edition and although some are hard to find, they are well worth adding to your K-F library.
