As a point of interest the story is only a slight bit true. I am an old man(72) but my father did not work at the factory he was a relatively early member of the club, and was a minister by profession, but also a mechanic and a pilot. He owned 9 kaisers, 1 Frazer and one Henry J,
also over the years he collected many parts.
He bought his first Kaiser in 1947.
He was very active in the club and passed away about 12 years ago.
Two of his Kaisers he picked up at the cottage in Willow Run.
He and my Mom hosted a Midwest Division meet in 1973 in Sterling, Ill.
I was out of the club for a few years and one of my sons just joined and three of my grand daughters went to the Seaway Meet, so Blanch Mericle, who knew my Dad well, was able to meet a forth generation.
So that's the real story of the '53 which my Dad and I towed from West Virginia to Indiana.
