Dunkin Donuts
« on: January 26, 2014, 01:03:10 PM »
Few months ago I submitted a photo of our 51 Kaiser Deluxe to a agency looking for cars for a Dunkin Donuts commercial that will flash back to its early days in early 50's.   A guy approached me at the big CRUSING FOR A CURE car show in Costa Mesa.  I submitted online photos.  They came out yesterday from Burbank and looked at our 51.  While looking at it, they saw our 52 Henry J.  They loved it more.  The Henry J may now  be the focal car of the commercial.  How about the 51?  You want that?  "No, sorry, too flashy, too much chrome" ????? LOL

They both look great to me Dave so who can say why they would choose the way they do. If I knew, I'd be in advertising! Regardless, that's pretty cool. Keep us informed so we can watch for it.

They are supposedly expanding into California for their 60th Anniv.  Commercial will be filmed in April
They are competing with Starbucks for coffee service

Too Tall: now all you law enforcers will have a choice between Winchell's and Dunkin's. My choice was always Dunkin' and I missed them when I was in L.A.

I don't see Winchell's in Virginia--maybe we have them, I don't know--but there are lots of Dunkin Donuts, which I really prefer.  Can't wait to see the commercial!

Aeroman, It is not about the donuts anymore.  It is all about the coffee.  Starbucks? Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf?  Chik Fila?  now we will have Dunkin Donuts too, which I hear is better than Starbucks.

But yes, we still have a winchells for those donut withdrawals.  LOL
