Grounding
« on: June 03, 2018, 09:11:55 PM »
Not sure if I'm wording this correctly... How do I ground out the voltage regulator? Apparently it's common and something I forgot to do. I've replaced all electrical components and new battery.... Not starting.

Charge Your Battery, remember it’s Positive + Ground. Not Negative - Ground Like Today. Yes regulars can short. If You if it starts look at The Gage it should go Positively + charging that’s Normal.  If It’s going Negative - It is Pulling all the Voltage Out of the Battery. You have to short center & Outer just to spark, the see if You’re Positive Charging.

This is why they switch to an Alternative System.

I'm sure you're refering to polarizing  your regulator/generator.  To do so simply take a jumper wire and connect it between the battery (B or BAT terminal) and the generator (G or GEN) terminals on the voltage regulator. Just touch it for a split-second it a spark appears and  then off it.

Thanks Fid,

I knew Bat. but forgot what the other label was Gen. ?

Remember, They Tell You to not use clip leads in Engineering except for testing? I have been at Radio-Tv Stations Keep for , I will fix that Later.

This is a Best thing to have to reset System. Wire will do same but easyer to find Clip Lead.
