On this date in 1951, the Allstate was made available for purchase at select Sears & Roebuck stores.

Interestingly they also seemed to be made available at other than the originally announced locations as the Grandson of my Allstate said that he got it at the Sears store in Santa Barbara CA.  I wish that he had the original bill of sale but that was lost over the years.  Very few remain for us to enjoy and they were different in many ways from the Henry J.  Mine is an early one #39 and has no trunk but has overdrive.
