Is the vibration of my 1947 Frazer hood kinda the norm? When I got my car it had old magazines (1954 time magazine) stuffed between the hood brace and top sheet metal of the hood. Was this a common problem? I thought it might because the hood s so long

Yes, this common. My 48k hood would rattle quite loudly. It's due to the long hood and the natural wear in the hinges.
