C'mon guys. It is not unusual for any old car owner to attach what they take to be the "original" plate for the model year of their car (or close to it, figuring the public won't know the difference) to the front and the actual "legal to drive" plate in the back. When I was In KY I had a 1952 Wisconsin plate on the front of the 52 deluxe and the KY plate on the back. In was only in the last 15 years or so that, under certain specific conditions, some states allowed you to use a matching set of original plates on an old car.
