Temperature Gauge
« on: September 16, 2015, 11:51:56 PM »
Here is a photo of the temp gauge in my 52 HJ after a nice cruise of couple miles to run a
Errand and back.  My Chevy friend thinks it is running too warm.  Is this where you all see the gauge in you HJ'S?

As Cigar Dave would say..."If your wife doesn't like the brand of cigar that you smoke---get a new wife"!

Anywhere at half or below is fine. Too low, however, and the engine is running too cool and is not as efficient.

My Darrin gauge reads at the 75% point...Henry J, 60%.

Using a non-contacting/infrared thermometer both show 180 deg.--thermostat opening.
