My head had at least 6 good sized cracks so unless I need an a block also I may be interested if the head south of Chicago doesn't work out.
As for which door mechanism I have, how do I identify the different types? Mine has some rectangular nylon blocks that the door slides on. The lock mechanism is not installed so I can photograph them if that is how you can identify.

Here's a picture of the early style door guts. Note the sawtooth style connector used (#13 on left side of page) to tie the latch to the front mechanism.

These two pictures show the later style door guts. Note the change from the sawtooth connector to the trunion style rod.

The later style door guts included a better latching mechanism with a spring loaded bar. The attached tells you how to update your doors to use the later style latch.
