Speedometer gear

I'm looking for a speedo gear for a 53 Aero Eagle with overdrive i have tried all the regular places with no luck . Does this interchange with another application ?   Jeep is way different   16 teeth

How many teeth is your gear?
Walcks shows 20, 19, 18 & 17 tooth fiber (phenolic) replacement gears (no shaft) and I seem to remember someone replacing an Aero gear with one of those.

He's usually pretty good about using factory part numbers, might be worth checking the parts book number before ordering.

If Walck's does have just the gear and not the shaft (which is likely the case), then this thread might be helpful if you get one:

Ah ha......it was your post I was mis-remembering!
That was a good piece of info, I'd never considered replacing just the gear before that.
