Too bad you couldn't just post it regular rather than ZIP.  Zip causes problems with older computers such as mine.

Yeah, I tried to, but the forum does not allow posting attachments in microsloth word format.

But here it is in PDF format.

There is no uniform enforcement against selling on this forum. The "RIGHT" people can do anything they please! It is no wonder that alternative faceboards thrive!!

I wasn't aware there were any rules against selling on this forum, apart perhaps from selling useless crap.  I mean, it's open to both members of the club as well as owners and aficionados of these cars...and where else would they look for quality parts for these cars, short of the ebay or google hunt, which is fraught with its own set of issues?

Jim, there are 2 sections available on the forum to buy/sell cars and parts.  Nothing wrong here.   ???

You are correct. However, the reason why the form could not be posted was due to the format, not because of any selling restriction.

You are correct. However, the reason why the form could not be posted was due to the format, not because of any selling restriction.

Having spent a 13 year portion of my work career in IT, I can tell you there is a reason word documents are restricted from posting on most forums.  There is an underlying programming ability built into all microsoft document types that allows for the possibility of a virus or malware being embedded within them...thus they must either be zipped or rar'd to be posted on most forums.  This does not remove the possibility of embedded virus, etc., but hopefully most folks use some type of antivirus software that will catch it upon download.

When I first zipped and posted Mr. Hering's document, firstly, having already used it with my own antivirus precautions, I knew it did not contain any viruses.  But also, I did not immediately think of converting it to PDF format for posting until Jack's post about issues with zip and an older computer.

Still, though...I'm not sure what Jim is speaking of as far as selling restrictions, particularly as no one is actually selling anything in this thread...it was just a request for information on where a specific part can be purchased.  Hell, I've made similar requests and been directed to NAPA and O'Reilly's for those parts...
