No lights
« on: May 20, 2015, 03:53:43 PM »
I just had the upholstery completely done on my 53 Allstate and now, no lights are working on the car. No headlights, tail lights or brake lights. Is there a fuse somewhere that I am not aware of that could have been blown somehow?

The main power fuse is inline with the headlight switch.  If that's blown (30 Amp) you'll get nothing.  Also, the switch itself is cheap (it is a Henry J after all) and often fails. Check the main connection (on the back terminal) of the headlight switch too. If that's loose, the lights won't work.

Thanks, Fid. Your my Hero. It was the 30 amp fuse. I just got back from California, again. and tried it this morning. Thank goodness I had two new spares. I have lights. This forum is just wonderful.
